Storm Runner Shilohs is a small, homegrown facility that is nestled in the heart of Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada. Our “Wild West Coast” location provides us with diverse opportunities to find adventure throughout the Lower Mainland. We’re surrounded by hiking trails, fishing spots, parks, beaches and lakes. We are not a kennel operation and out puppies are raised in our homes, as part of our family.
A brief history of how we got into shilohs:
Christine can remember at the young age of four, having a litter of puppies between her beloved GSD, Brookie, and her Uncle’s Vancouver Police Dog GSD, Ranger. She has always been passionate about animals. Adam and Christine Homfeld’s love affair with Shilohs started over ten years ago when Christine’s cousin got a Shiloh puppy from Laura Kathryn at Solace Shilohs. After being invited to attend the puppy pick up, Christine instantly fell in love with the temperaments and physique of Shilohs. She particularly loved how Shiloh Shepherd breeders were health testing their dogs to try to get away from the problems that plague GSDs and into the more traditional, old-style GSD.
Fast forward a few years, close to their wedding anniversary. Christine and Adam had put a deposit down on a breed quality puppy from Solace Shilohs got the call that the dam was ready to whelp. They immediately raced across the border to assist. At the LER, the adorable black and silver, spectacled, rambunctious but sweet, “Blue Girl” was the perfect match for Christine and Adam. Arcadia is affectionately called “Cade”, “Sweet Pea” or “the Wildling”. She’s a constant shadow and companion who is a joy to be around.
Christine is a Resource Teacher in the Langley School District with her teachable being Visual Arts. In her spare time, she typically draws and paints. You can find a portrait of Kiera in the Acrylic section on her website: https://christinehomfeld.com/ . Adam is a Systems Engineering Lead at a local company and enjoys many outdoor activities.
