Freyja (formerly “Blue Girl” from our 2023 Arcadia x Pluto litter) is an incredibly smart, striking, Shiloh Shepherd with a true sports-model build and a sharp, curious mind. She thrives with fair, clear boundaries and does best when someone else is confidently in charge. She’s also delightfully opinionated and can be dramatic with her chatter; she definitely has thoughts she likes to share, but she is an absolute cuddle bug who lives to please her people.
Freyja has a solid foundation of basic obedience, is crate-comfortable, and naturally checks in with her people. She is active, adventurous, and loves being part of the action. She would excel in an active home committed to continued training and engagement.
Freyja can live successfully with other dogs when properly introduced, but she still needs guidance and structure to maintain polite manners during dog interactions. Clear leadership is essential. Due to her high prey and play drive, she is not suited to homes with livestock (including chickens) or young children (under 12). When properly introduced
She will be spayed and have X-rays completed at the end of this month.
Freyja is seeking an experienced, active home that can provide consistency, boundaries, and meaningful outlets for her intelligence and drive. With the right guidance, she will be an exceptional partner ready for her next adventure.

Summer 2023 Litter

We are pleased to announce a confirmed breeding (via Ultrasound on May, 30th, 2023) between Arcadia and Pluto.
Arcadia is our wonderfully affectionate and adventurous girl (Pi/Lomax, Solace Shilohs, 2018). She’s equally content running trails with her humans or settling in at feet for quiet days at home. She brings to the table a smaller, more upright ear set, a strong topline, and good neck length along with her joyful personality. Pluto (Kyla/Atticus, Guardian, 2018) is a friendly and easy-going boy who loves to give lots of love. He has a calm and outgoing demeanour, and we feel his wide head and frame, good bone, and more moderate croup will compliment Arcadia nicely. With Arcadia’s people-pleasing and playful personality combined with Pluto’s calm temperament, we are anticipating puppies that prioritize human interaction, have a good sense of humour, and have a medium temperament. These pups are ideally suited for active companion homes or families interested in dabbling in dog sports. All puppies will have plush coats in various shades of sable. The litter will be whelped and raised at Storm Runner Shilohs in Langley, BC. Breeding was completed at the end of April and puppies are expected near the end of June. Puppies will go to their respectively matched homes after the LER in late August.

Storms Arcadian Wild V Solace
Our foundation girl, Storms Arcadian Wild V Solace, (Arcadia or Cade) has a spunky personality. She’s an “in your pocket puppy”, with a goofball attitude, and a zest for life. She loves to be with her people and is protective of her home. If there is anything amiss, she will alert us to the trouble. Arcadia is a great adventure buddy hiking and fishing, but she is also able to relax and snuggle on the couch. She enjoys having you hold her paw while getting belly rubs. She always comes up for “Good Morning” snuggles and loves to be with her people. Cade has a great sense of humour and her favourite game of all time is fetch. She adores her plush toy, Lamb Chop, and will throw it onto our laps to get our attention. Arcadia stands at 28″ at her withers, has Good OFA Hips and Elbows, and had a pristine clear Holter report of 0/0/0. She is a DM carrier so we will only be breeding to DM clear Studs.

Solace’s Jagermeister
Solace’s Jagermeister, Worf, is a big boy, standing at 32” at the wither and 125 lbs. He’s has a stunning personality. He is a laid back, easy-going gentleman. Arcadia was quite taken with him on their playdate, two summers ago. His solid bone structure will be a nice addition to the size behind Arcadia’s lines. He has a lovely brown sable plush coat and enjoys giving sloppy wet kisses. We had been hoping for a live cover, but COVID changed those plans with extensions of the USA/CANADA border closures. Worf resides in Washington, USA.
We are expecting an all plush coat, large-boned pups with incredible personalities. These pups will be the perfect family companions and we can’t wait for the first litter here at Storm Runner Shilohs. These puppies will be registered with The Shiloh Shepherd Registry (TSSR).
